Our story 📖

Strengthening each other so the Gospel resounds on campus and in the city

In 2015, a handful of UC Berkeley students spent spring break sharing the gospel with UW students. Deeply impacted by the experience, they put their post-grad plans on hold and planted Resound Church a year later.

10+ years later, we’re still crazy about reaching college students in the Greater Seattle area, but we’ve grown and expanded our vision to reach international students, youth, and young adults. We can’t wait to see what God will do in the next 10 years!

👋 MEET THE PASTORAL COUPLE

4 things to know about Steven and Jamie: 

  1. Jamie didn’t grow up going to church, but she met Jesus at UC Berkeley through a bunch of Christians who heard her questions, let her sleepover & eat all their snacks. 15+ years later, those same friends are faithfully building up Resound Church together. 

  2. Steven’s been going to church since he was a zygote. He gave his life to Jesus in middle school and has been actively serving ever since. When he announced to his family he was going to become a pastor, his sister said, “That could’ve been a text.” 

  3. They love having college students & church members at their house, hanging out, eating Jamie’s Taiwanese cooking, and watching their kids Silas and Brooke beat you at boardgames.  

  4. They’re planning to reach & disciple college students until they die - or until they’re too old and Jamie tells Steven he’s not thinking straight anymore.
