Summer SLT 2024
summer mission trips to asia with other students from our network
Summer is a time to relax and have fun for most of us. But for several of our college students, they decided to sign up for Servant Leadership Training (SLT), a 3-week immersive training and mission trip experience for college students across our network to grow in their faith. Our UW students got to visit our foreign missions teams in Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan, and grew in their boldness to share the gospel!
“This summer I got to meet a lot of college students in Japan during SLT. I made a lot of deep connections and got to see how God is relevant to each and every one of us, no matter if we’re in Seattle or halfway across the globe!” said Lydia, a junior.
“I experienced challenges, growth, and strong fellowship during SLT. Being able to do ministry with a tight community felt fulfilling and fun”, sophomore student Stephanie reflected on her time in Taiwan. Despite challenging circumstances such as the stifling heat and language barrier, her courage to share God’s love grew.
